1. Feature Overview
SparkX supports allocating the daily budget of ad campaigns to different times of the day, as well as setting different daily budgets for each day of the week. Based on your strategy, the system dynamically adjusts the daily budget value for relevant ad campaigns every hour to match your allocation. Two different allocation methods are supported:
Allocate budget by percentage
Allocate budget by fixed Value
Compared to the familiar SparkX Amazon dayparting feature, the optimized interface now emphasizes the concept of “allocation” to better align with operational thinking.
Allocate budget by percentage
Allocate budget by fixed Value
2. Applicability
Suitable for sellers with ample budget
Due to Walmart's high minimum daily budget thresholds ($10 for 3P stores and $50 for 1P stores), SparkX cannot allocate budgets below $10 or $50 for the first budget segment of each day. For budget segments other than the first, budgets can be allocated more precisely according to your needs.
It is recommended to use budget dayparting rules in conjunction with bid dayparting rules. During low-traffic or low-efficiency periods, lowering the bid multiplier simultaneously can help avoid unnecessary expenses.
3. How to Set Up Rules
3.1 Create a Rule
Create a new rule and select the rule type.
Choose your allocation method
3.2 Set Rules: allocate budget by percentage
3.2.1 Allocate Budget for Different Times of the Day
Note: Budgets must be set for each day of the week and for each hour from 0 to 23.
Click or drag in the blank area to create a new budget segment and enter the allocation
Click on an existing budget segment to view the allocation for that time and the cumulative allocation up to that time.
Due to Walmart's minimum daily budget threshold of $10 for 3P sellers, if you need to lower the budget, you can choose to pause the ad campaign for that slot. The system will reopen the campaign for subsequent slots with normal allocation.
After distributing 100% of the daily budget, a "small eye" icon will appear. Click it to view the cumulative budget allocation for each time slot of the day.
When executing the tasks, the system will dynamically adjust Walmart’s daily budget to match the cumulative value for each time slot according to your allocation.
3.2.2 Set Different Budgets for Each Day
You can break through the ad campaign's daily budget by setting a Multiplier or a Numerical value:
Modify Multiplier
Modify Numerical value
3.3 Set Rules: allocate budget by fixed value
Suitable when the budgets for associated ad campaigns are the same or similar. You can set this directly by budget amount. The operation is similar to section 3.2.
First, set the daily budget amount, then allocate the budget to different times of the day.
The system will verify that the first budget segment of each day is not less than $10; other budget segments can be allocated more precisely according to your needs.
3.4 Associate and Apply Ad Campaigns
After creating the rule, associate it with the ad campaigns you wish to apply it to. You can also skip this step and return to the list page to make associations later.
4. Execution of budget dayparting tasks
Execute every hour and apply only to ad campaigns that are "live" (and have been associated and applied).
Upon enabling the rule, please ensure that the daily and total budgets are only maintained in SparkX. The budget of Walmart will be adjusted dynamically. Upon disabling the rule, the budget of Walmart will be restored based on the daily and total budgets set in SparkX.
All modifications you submit will take effect at the start of the next hour and apply to subsequent cycles.
Total Budget (if set) will be applied if the budget you set in budget day parting is higher than Total Budget.
