Amazon Business Bid Adjustment
Amazon Business Bid Adjustment is a Bid Optimization setting in AI Managed. It authorizes SparkX AI to adjust Amazon Business bid adjustment for Sponsored Products (SP) campaigns. After it is enabled, AI adjusts the Amazon Business bid premium within your configured range based on Amazon Business traffic performance, helping you manage the bidding tilt for business buyer traffic with more control.
With Amazon Business Bid Adjustment, you can:
Control whether AI can adjust Amazon Business bid adjustment separately.
Set the minimum and maximum values AI is allowed to use.
Reuse Amazon Business Bid Adjustment settings in bulk operations and templates.
View related status and records in the Managed Group list, setting logs, and execution logs.
Use Cases
Business buyer traffic performs differently: If Amazon Business traffic has a different conversion rate, order value, or acquisition cost from regular Amazon traffic, you can enable Amazon Business Bid Adjustment so AI adjusts the business buyer bid premium based on performance differences.
You need Managed Group-level risk governance: Amazon Business bid adjustment compounds with base bids, placement bid adjustments, and dynamic bidding. With the Action Space switch and range settings, you can define clear operating boundaries for AI.
You need to manage multiple Managed Groups in bulk: If multiple Sponsored Products Managed Groups need a similar B2B bidding strategy, you can configure the setting through bulk operations or templates.
Concepts
What Amazon Business Bid Adjustment Changes
Amazon Business Bid Adjustment changes the Amazon Business bid adjustment in Sponsored Products campaigns, which is the bid premium applied to Amazon Business traffic. It is not part of standard placement bid adjustment and is not the same as bid adjustments for top of search, product pages, or rest of search.
After it is enabled, AI only adjusts Amazon Business bid adjustment within the range you allow. This Action Space does not automatically change base bids, budgets, targeting, negative targeting, or other Action Space settings.
Relationship with Adjust Placement Bids
Adjust Placement Bids manages bid adjustments for placements such as top of search, product pages, and rest of search. Amazon Business Bid Adjustment manages the bid premium for the Amazon Business traffic dimension.
Both may affect the final bid submitted to the auction. SparkX therefore exposes Amazon Business Bid Adjustment as a dedicated Action Space, so you can separately control whether AI is allowed to perform each type of bid adjustment.
Supported Scope
Item | Support |
Sponsored Products (SP) | Supported |
Sponsored Brands (SB) | Not supported yet |
Sponsored Display (SD) | Not supported yet |
Amazon and beyond Campaign | Supported |
Amazon Business only campaign | AI does not execute Amazon Business Bid Adjustment |
If Campaign Sites is set to Amazon Business only, AI does not execute Amazon Business Bid Adjustment. Amazon Business Bid Adjustment is used to tune the bidding tilt between Amazon Business traffic and regular Amazon traffic. When a campaign serves Amazon Business traffic only, there is no regular Amazon traffic to compare against. Amazon also does not support further increasing bids for Amazon Business placements in this site type.
AI-Only Optimization Method
Amazon Business Bid Adjustment always uses AI optimization. This release does not support switching it to automation rules.
If you select multiple Action Spaces in a bulk operation, Amazon Business Bid Adjustment is treated as an Action Space whose optimization method cannot be switched.
Adjustment Range
After Amazon Business Bid Adjustment is enabled, you can set a minimum and a maximum value:
Rule | Description |
Input range | 0% to 900% |
Decimals | Not supported. Only integers are supported |
Required fields | At least one of minimum or maximum must be filled in |
Value relationship | If both are filled in, the maximum must be greater than the minimum |
Historical values outside the range | The system does not change them immediately when you save. The next time AI executes Amazon Business Bid Adjustment, the result is constrained within the configured range |
Note: This adjustment is applied on top of the base bid and may increase the final bid. If placement bid adjustments, Audience bid adjustment, or dynamic bidding are also enabled, they may also affect the final bid submitted to the auction. Set a reasonable adjustment range based on your business goal.
How to Use
Enable It in a Single Managed Group
1. Go to the AI Managed page under AI Ads Optimization.
2. Open the Managed Group you want to configure.
3. Go to AI Action Space settings.
4. Find Amazon Business Bid Adjustment under Bid Optimization.
5. Enable Amazon Business Bid Adjustment.
6. Set the adjustment range. You can fill in only the minimum value, only the maximum value, or both.
7. Save the Managed Group settings.
After you save the setting, AI evaluates whether to adjust in a later execution window based on Amazon Business traffic performance. Saving the setting itself does not immediately change all historical Amazon Business bid adjustments.
Set the Adjustment Range
In the Amazon Business Bid Adjustment settings area, select Set adjustment range and fill in Min and Max:
Min: The lowest Amazon Business bid adjustment AI can use. For example, if you enter 20%, AI output cannot be lower than 20%.
Max: The highest Amazon Business bid adjustment AI can use. For example, if you enter 300%, AI output cannot be higher than 300%.
If an existing campaign's Amazon Business bid adjustment is outside the newly configured range, the system does not immediately update it in bulk when you save. The next time AI executes Amazon Business Bid Adjustment, the AI-generated result is constrained within your configured range.
Set Amazon Business Bid Adjustment in Bulk
You can use bulk operations to enable, disable, or set the Amazon Business Bid Adjustment range for multiple eligible Managed Groups.
Bulk enable: Enable Amazon Business Bid Adjustment for selected Managed Groups.
Bulk disable: Disable Amazon Business Bid Adjustment for selected Managed Groups.
Bulk range setting: Apply the same Min / Max range to selected Managed Groups.
Note: Amazon Business Bid Adjustment supports Sponsored Products (SP) only. If a bulk selection includes unsupported ad types, the system filters or skips unsupported objects according to the current bulk operation rules.
Save and Apply Through Templates
Amazon Business Bid Adjustment settings can be saved and applied with Managed Group setting templates. The template keeps the following:
The enablement status.
The minimum and maximum values of the adjustment range.
The fixed AI optimization method.
After applying a template, check the ad type and Campaign Sites setting in the target Managed Group. AI executes Amazon Business Bid Adjustment only for Sponsored Products campaigns that meet the supported scope.
View Status and Logs
After the setting is enabled, you can view whether Amazon Business Bid Adjustment is enabled in the Action Space status on the Managed Group list. The system also records related setting logs and execution logs.
Common logs include:
Log type | Example |
Setting log | Enable Amazon Business Bid Adjustment |
Setting log | Disable Amazon Business Bid Adjustment |
Setting log | Change the Amazon Business Bid Adjustment minimum to 20% |
Setting log | Change the Amazon Business Bid Adjustment maximum to 300% |
Execution log | Amazon Business bid increased |
Execution log | Amazon Business bid decreased |
Execution log | Amazon Business bid adjusted into range |
If a campaign is skipped because it serves Amazon Business only, uses an unsupported ad type, or does not support Amazon Business bid adjustment, the system may not create a user-visible log for every skip. Use the Action Space tips and supported scope first to determine whether the campaign is eligible.

FAQ
Q: Why can't I see Amazon Business Bid Adjustment?
A: Common reasons include: (1) your account does not have feature access yet; (2) the Managed Group does not contain Sponsored Products (SP) campaigns; (3) the current entry point does not support configuring this Action Space. Check the Managed Group ad type and account access first, and contact your Customer Success Manager if needed.
Q: Which bids does Amazon Business Bid Adjustment affect?
A: Amazon Business Bid Adjustment mainly affects the Amazon Business bid adjustment for Sponsored Products campaigns. It does not automatically change base bids, budgets, targeting, negative targeting, or standard placement bid adjustment settings.
Q: What is the difference between Amazon Business Bid Adjustment and Adjust Placement Bids?
A: Adjust Placement Bids manages placements such as top of search, product pages, and rest of search. Amazon Business Bid Adjustment manages the bid premium for the Amazon Business traffic dimension. They are different dimensions and may both affect the final bid submitted to the auction.
Q: What happens to Amazon Business only campaigns?
A: If Campaign Sites is set to Amazon Business only, AI does not execute Amazon Business Bid Adjustment. This capability is used to tune the bidding tilt between Amazon Business traffic and regular Amazon traffic. When a campaign serves Amazon Business traffic only, Amazon also does not support further increasing bids for Amazon Business placements.
Q: After I save a range, will the system immediately move all historical values into that range?
A: No. Saving the setting only saves the Action Space switch and range. If an existing value is outside the range, it is not changed immediately in bulk when you save. The next time AI executes Amazon Business Bid Adjustment, the AI-generated result is constrained within your configured range.
Q: What is the maximum value I can set?
A: Amazon's native range is 0% to 900%, and SparkX also validates the setting as 0% to 900%. Only integers are supported. Decimals are not supported.
Q: Can I configure Amazon Business Bid Adjustment with automation rules?
A: Not yet. Amazon Business Bid Adjustment always uses AI optimization and currently cannot be switched to automation rules.
Q: If AI does not make an adjustment, does that mean the feature is not working?
A: Not necessarily. AI decides whether to adjust based on Amazon Business traffic performance, the configured range, and campaign support status. If the campaign is unsupported, the campaign is Amazon Business only, or the current performance does not require an adjustment, AI may not send a new Amazon Business Bid Adjustment result.
